HB 192

LC2899
Marilyn Ryan (D) HD 99
Revise laws related to privacy in communications

Comments

  1. Send morning of Feb. 1:

    Representatives Keogh and Morigeau,

Missoula County supports HB 192, Revise laws related to privacy in communications, heard this week in House Judiciary. Victims of domestic and sexual violence are often presented with terrible choices when seeking help to leave their situation. In several cases in Missoula County, victims have relayed stories where they were concerned about leaving their abusive relationship because the perpetrator said they would use the victim’s image to exact revenge. The use of sexually explicit images without the victim’s consent is yet another form of intimidation and should not be allowable under state law.

    Please support HB 192.
