HB 55

LC0415
Forrest Mandeville (R) HD 57
Revise Sanitation in Subdivisions Act

Comments

  1. Per Shannon Therriault: We support HB 55. It’s a continuation of sorts from last session when another bill by Mandeville made temporary changes to the Sanitation in Subdivision Act review process. A statewide committee met over the interim to implement and evaluate the changes. This bill keeps all the process changes and makes a few other improvements that will make it easier for developments to connect to public water and sewer. AMPHO/MPHA/MEHA all support the bill. I’ll be going to the hearing to speak in support of the bill.

  2. Sent February 11:

    Senator McConnell,
Missoula County supports HB 55: Revise Sanitation in Subdivisions Act, up for hearing in the Senate Local Government Committee this afternoon. The bill will permanently implement temporary changes made to the process last session that have proved positive in the interim. These changes include eliminating unnecessary reviews, making more properties eligible for exemption, and eliminating re-review for properties if people want to connect to water and sewer services later. These changes will streamline the process and make it easier overall for developments to connect to public sewer and water.

    Please support HB 55.
