    Senators,

Missoula County supports SB 162, Generally revise election laws, on the Senate floor this afternoon. This bill would provide for more comprehensive election results across precincts to be delivered earlier upon closing of the polls. Under current law and with the ever increasing use of absentee voting, staff may work up to 40 hours straight tabulating votes. This bill would allow staff to begin this process sooner and avoid human error caused by exhaustion. Missoula County supports the security concerns addressed in the bill and amendments.

    Please support SB 162.
