Missoula County opposes SB 179, Prohibit expansion of prohibitions under Clean Air Act w/o approval by local gov., on the Senate floor this afternoon. Existing processes governing local ordinance and rule adoption, which include a public comment component, have worked for decades to protect the public’s health and should not be changed. We are satisfied with the current processes for adopting local rules and ordinances that protect the public from secondhand smoke and vaping.
Please oppose SB 179.
Respectfully, Vickie Zeier on behalf of the Missoula County Commission
